Next.js Frontend Engineer

Role Summary: We are looking for a skilled Next.js Frontend Engineer to build and maintain Oxcart's administrative interface. The ideal candidate will translate UI/UX designs into responsive, reliable, and intuitive interfaces while integrating backend services and supporting efficient administrative workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Oxcart Admin UI using Next.js and React.
• Translate UI/UX designs and prototypes into functional, responsive interfaces.
• Integrate frontend components with backend APIs.
• Build reusable components and maintain clean, scalable frontend architecture.
• Implement form validation, data tables, dashboards, search, filtering, and other administrative features.
• Manage application state, loading states, errors, and user feedback.
• Apply appropriate authentication, authorisation, and role-based access controls in coordination with the backend team.
• Optimise application performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Write and maintain frontend tests and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with product, design, backend, and QA teams to deliver requirements.

Requirements

• Strong experience with React and Next.js.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Experience consuming REST APIs and handling asynchronous data.
• Knowledge of responsive design, reusable components, and modern CSS practices.
• Familiarity with frontend testing, Git, and deployment workflows.
• Understanding of web security and role-based access control.
• Experience building admin dashboards or operational interfaces is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently, troubleshoot issues, and deliver maintainable code.
