
On May 26, 2025, Jeroid, Nigeria’s pioneering digital assets exchange platform, marked its 8th anniversary with a grand celebration dubbed The Jeriversary, hosted by Big Bimi and Simisayaa.
Zlatan joins Jeroid as an Ambassador
Held in Lagos, the event was an immersive blend of entertainment, reflection, and forward-looking conversations around the state and future of cryptocurrency in Nigeria. Also in attendance was the Special Assistant to the President on Art, Culture, and Creative Economy, Mr. Ayo Adeagbo, as well as the latest ambassador of the Jeroid brand and versatile artist, Zlatan Ibile.
The evening began with vibrant dance and spellbinding magic performances that set an electric tone for the celebration.

Delivering the keynote address, Jeroid CEO Jeremiah Mayowa traced the company’s journey from its humble beginnings in a small apartment in 2017 to becoming Nigeria’s first ISO-certified crypto platform in 2024, with a recertification in 2025. He spotlighted milestones such as the launch of Jeroid App Versions 1 and 2, rapid growth in monthly trade volumes, and the company’s expanding national footprint.
“Jeroid is more than just a company,” he said. “It is a family, a support system, and a movement that believes Nigeria and Africa can lead, innovate, and set the standard.”

The audience also enjoyed an entertaining comedic performance from the talented Kenny Blaq.
Another highlight of the evening was a compelling panel session titled “Navigating the Crypto Ecosystem: Challenges and Opportunities”, hosted by the dynamic Oyindamola Abatan.

The panel featured some of Nigeria’s most influential voices in blockchain and finance: Obinna Iwuno, President of SiBAN (Stakeholders in Blockchain Technology Association of Nigeria), Mr. Obinna Egbuniwe, Senior Manager with the Fintech and Innovation Office, Lagos Zonal Office (SEC) and many others, including Hassan Eniola, COO of Jeroid.
